Makeover Monday {eight.o}

I'll be honest with you. I'm not always the super positive and optimistic person this blog might make me out to be. Trust me, I have my days. It's been more than 2 months since I have returned from being overseas and still find myself adjusting to certain areas in my life. I don't have my dream career. I don't work out as hard as I want to sometimes. I worry about things that I probably shouldn't even be worrying about like the pimple I currently have on my face or the broccoli that I overcooked the other night.

But you know what?

I do get up each time, brush those things off, and keep going at it. That's what is awesome about life. You're given a second chance each moment you believe it truly is a second chance (I hope that made sense). That's why I made Makeover Mondays. The comments that I get from you all lift me up and I always want to return that favor. To lift you up. To tell you that it's okay and that you are the creator of your world, no one else.

So, here it is. Here's to a fresh, brand spankin' new Monday. A new week. Make it yours. It has always been yours.

Your thoughts create your existence. Don't you think so?

What's on your bucket list? Why not start now?

A few things I found that made me giggle...a lot. Don't you hate that hair tie issue?

Don't be afraid. There's absolutely nothing to lose. Give it your all today, tomorrow, and the next - - I bet you'll be pleased with what you're capable with.

  1. Nice post! Thanks for the inspiration.

    I like that photo which has "Before I die... I want to live without money". Haha .. Um, well...could be a hard one if you want to live a little comfortably? ;-) But a great one nonetheless.

    1. The 'Before I die...' is a running exhibition by Candy Chang. I myself have never been one for Bucket lists I've been living off the line "You can measure your happiness by the gap between your thoughts and your actions". My goals I've found are more momentary. Or maybe I just have trouble sticking to long term missions.

    2. Thanks for the comments Christine and Loz in transit! Yes, the Before I die was a great exhibition done by Candy Chang. I came across it and felt so compelled to share this inspirational piece of art. Although bucket lists aren't for everyone, it's nice to have goals and strive for something meaningful for you! I love that motto about measuring happiness between your thoughts and actions. It's those little moments :)

  8. I love these posts, and I love that you're happy to be honest about life not always being as amazing as we all wish it could be. It definitely is about being able to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves and keep going though :) I hope adjusting after your travels isn't too hard. Have a great week Cathy! Rhi xx

  12. You're not alone, dear! I'm a huge worrywart and need to do things to calm myself down. Ah! I just got the BEST book called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It. is. wonderful. And so is your blog! I laughed out loud at the hair tie and the letter to Diet Coke from Mentos. I don't hair the hair issue since my hair is fine and thin...but here's to hoping I'll still have hair left when I'm 50!
