Makeover Monday {4.0}

Today will be the first day of my NEW job! I am absolutely thrilled but also have medium-sized butterflies fluttering around in my belly. It's been about three years since I have experienced that first-day-at-a-new-job-feeling and I forgot how nerve wracking it can be. To overcome these nerves, I plan on starting my morning right with working out, make a healthy shake, and overcome fear with action.

What are some things you do to overcome feeling nervous for something like this?

Wishing you an empowered Monday!!

  1. I love the Andy Warhol quote/picture :) And the two mice! So cute (and so true)!

    Good luck with your job! From the sounds of it, you won't need it but I'll throw some luck your way anyway. Can you do a healthy shake post sometime? I dislocated my jaw on Thursday last week so I'm pretty much living off of shakes and soup. Plus I make them so much anyway because they fit in well with a uni student diet haha.

    Have a great week :) Rhi xx

    1. Crazy!!! How did your first day go? My first day went pretty well :) We'll see how the first week goes as I'm still feeling out this new industry. I must admit, it's pretty fast-paced but I think I can handle it :)

  9. I miss this feeling... From 5 years I didn´t feel that. And my opinion, is that when you feel that...you feel you still alive... Get new objective, new ways, improve your skill... Wish you all the best... and don´t forget your friends from BCN...

    1. Hey buddy!!! You're right, sometimes when we are put into new situations - we get that 'new' and 'alive' feeling again. I've definitely been experiencing a variety of emotions that come with starting a new job. Will never forget my dear friends in BCN, don't forget the american couchsurfer gal! ;)

  11. I hope your first day at your new job went really great, Cathy! I get so nervous doing new things these days too, but I really find that yoga helps calm my butterflies! A few rounds of Sun Salutation to centre myself is a real gift! I love your Monday Makeover posts please keep them coming - I especially liked the Andy Warhol quote today, it really made me think about how I could turn 'dull' into 'wow'. :) Have a fantastic new-job week!
